[Books, Review] Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen

Jane Austen (may she rest in peace) is a one of the famous classic writers ever lived. I not need say what she is famous for because, all you bookworms our there should already know what she is famous for.

Pride and Prejudice, a classic. Obviously a classic. I planned to finish it before New Years, and so I did. It is my second Jane Austen novel.

I enjoyed the book, Although I am not much of a fan of classic readings (I am more of a classic movie watcher), I wanted to read Pride and Prejudice because I love the movie version of it. I struggled while I was in the middle of the book, and so I turned to the audiobooks to help me. I read along with the audiobooks in order for me to finish it before New Years. xD

The deep feelings between Elizabeth and Darcy, I just loved it, I went "awwwh". The details in the book is obviously nothing compared to the movies. I enjoyed Elizabeth's journeys, the letters they send one another, the scenery. Everything!

I found the book, all in all as one of the best classics ever written and I would definitely recommend it.

I am so happy that they require students to read these kinds of book during High School. xD

[Music] JYJ holds special fan party for NII

(c) by Naver

JYJ (Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu) held a special fan party at Lotte Gimpo Airport with their beloved fans. <3
This special event was set by for the fans to get closer to our lovely boys, like celebrating Junsu's birthday (Happy belated Birthday love! <3)

JYJ personally wrapped scarves around their fans and cut celebratory cakes. (as shown in the picture above) (dow my gosh)

For those who do not know NII (I had to google what they were, lol).
NII is a clothing brand, and JYJ are their models of advertisements. (I would love to go in their store, just to stare are the boys, here is one of their branches, JYJ at NII)

I am so happy that they did this. I love it when the celebrities interact with their fans.
JYJ did this event, not only for promoting NII but also to show their gratitude towards their fans. (awwwwwwh)

I love them. JYJ as in my top 5 favorite pop bands.

[Music] ABC-Z debut DVD

(c) Potato Magazine

Members are Tsukada Ryoichi, Kawai Fumito, Hashimoto Ryosuke, Totsuka Shota, and Goseki Koichi. They are finally going to make a debut, but not any normal debut, a DVD debut. I'm guessing this is the first time someone debuted with a DVD instead of a single.
The DVD will release on February 1st 2012

Along Kis-my-ft2, I found ABC-Z, I am so proud of them to be debuting. They deserve it.

[Books, Review] Six Geese A-Laying by Sophie Kinsella

Six Geese A-Laying by Sophie
Kinsella

Sophie Kinsella is one of my favorite author. She brought me into the genre of Comedy-Romance, she made me love it.
She recently released a free Ebook as a Christmas gift to her fans entitled "Six Geese A-Laying". When I received an email saying that she will be release a free ebook, I was so excited to read it.

I finally read it. Its a short ebook, around 9 pages.

Review
I haven't read any Sophie Kinsella books in a while, I've been saving it for next year. This ebook wasn't what I expected. I expected a man and a woman, falling in love, has romantic night on Christmas eve, typical Christmas Romance, etc. But it wasn't

It was about 6 ladies, 6 pregnant ladies, going to a pregnancy class, and someone or some spirit comes and shows them their future. Future that may or may not happen. It is up to these 6 ladies to accept their future or change it.

I thought the ebook was good and easy to read. I enjoyed reading it.
For a short story, I think it was great. If Kinsella were to write even more, then it wouldn't be called a short story now would it?
I always enjoyed Kinsella's books. and I enjoyed this short story as well.

Thank you Sophie for giving us this free ebook as a Christmas Gift.
Happy Christmas!

here is the Ebook if you all want to read it as well. "Here"

Happy Christmas to all of you! ^.^

[Books, Review] A Kiss at Midnight by Eloisa James

I absolutely adore this book.
Even if i took my time reading it, I loved it.

Kate Daltry; the heroin and Cinderella of the story, She is a strong, doesn't give a damn about anyone's opinion, will do as she's told; even if she doesn't want to, and knows nothing about romance.

Her Stepmother, Mariana, wasn't much of meany as I expected, she was mean, but not to the extent that she'll actually chop someones head off. Mariana would do anything for her daughter.

Her stepsister, Victoria, is a sweet loving girl, also not what I expected for a retelling of Cinderella. Victoria is such a sweet, someone clueless girl, who is extremely nice to her stepsister Kate. Her and Kate has a good sister-sister relationship. I like Victoria. I'm so glad there was only one stepsister involved not two.

Victoria's fiance Algie, he enjoys fashion. I think of him as some what of sissy, but I know he loves dear Victoria deeply.

Kates Godmother, Henry, She is awesome. I just love her. She brought the happy ending.

Gabriel. Oh gosh!! Gabriel. Such a typical hot and sexy playboy prince. I like how Eloisa James made him foreign. It adds to his sexiness. xD

His brother Berwick. (I named my phone after him. xD) I just adore him.

The story line in general was fantastic. This is my first actual historical romance book that I actually payed attention to. And finished in less than a month.

My first Eloisa James book, and I already think she's an amazing author.

I can't wait to read the next of the Fairy Tales series.

[Food] Coco's Restaurant

I went to Coco's for a friends birthday lunch, and decided to slightly review it. xD

What I've heard
It was my first time eating at this restaurant, and what I've heard of it, was that, the service sucked, but the food was delicious.

What I think
We arrived at 1:35pm. The restaurant was packed. We had to wait for our table for 20 minutes. By the time we did get our table, the waiter just pointed us to it, he did not show it to us, so we weren't sure which table to be sitting at, the table was dirty. We waited another 5 - 8 minutes to wait for the waiter to clean our table and give us our menus.
We ordered a Chili Mini Burger for an Appetizer. We got it in 20-30 minutes, or even longer.

It was 3 burgers, we cut them into half to serve the 5 of us. Even if i only had a piece, the burgers were delicious and when they say chili, they mean chili. It was delicious, and well cooked.
For our main course, I ordered a Grilled Chicken, bathed in gravy. It had 2 chicken breasts, with mashed potatoes in between and under them, with carrots, green pepper and zucchini. It looked delicious, tasted delicious. Their portions was a bit too much I though. I could only finish one breast.

For my awesome beloved friends, sister, and the birthday girl.

Risotto. Seafood Risotto
It was ordered by 2 of my lovely friends and the birthday girl.
I had a bite of it, and it was completely delicious. It was see food, with shrimp and squid, and creamy rice.

Cottage Pie.
My sister had this dish. It was delicious, as all cottage pies.
Shredded beef with vegetables topped and backed with mashed potatoes and cheese.
My sister couldn't finish the dish, it was too much, so we took it home.

Even if Coco's are known for their bad service here in Bahrain. They sure make up for it by the delicious, big portioned food.

[Fashion] Outfit of the night (Dec. 17 2011)

My Outfit on December 17th 2011. For my friends birthday.
I apologize for the flash. >.<

Dress: Cache Cache
Shoes: Red Tag
Jacket: New Look

A very comfortable dress. Since it was cold, I wore leggings.
I had trouble pairing my shoes with the outfit. I ended up with plain black flats.

[Music] My Kis-my-ft2 article

(pic (c) Popolo Nov. 2011 edition)
KIS-MY-FT2
Group name was derived from the 7 members last names. Kitayama Hiromitsu, Senga Kento, Miyata Toshiya, Yokoo Wataru, Fujigaya Taisuke, Tamamori Yuta & 二 Nikaido Takashi, They have been together since 2005. Debuted on August 2011 with their Everybody Go single under Avex Trax record label, which made no. 1 on the Oricon Charts.

Since Kis-my-ft2s' Debut on August 2011, a lot of fans noticed that the way their management treats some of the members. The 3:4 formation. I just wanted to clear out this tension among the fans commenting about this 3:4 formation.

On my We never give up review on my previous post, I said, or more like was complaining about the 3:4 formation. I shared my review with other fans on Livejournal here, and they made me understand more about the situation.

Kitayama and Fujigaya are the lead singers of the group, so its understandable for them to sing most of the parts. While Tamamori, being within the 3 is due to his popularity with his drama along with Fujigaya "Ikemen Desu Ne" So the management decided to put these 3 men up in the front all the time, for performances, talks, photo shoots, etc.

I read the feedback on my previous post, and the fans said that it was natural for newly debuted groups to have  inequality of popularity, and the members do their best to support their fellow members. Since kis-my-ft2 was the first group I've grown to love before their debut. This situation has happened to the current
famous groups as well.
Yaon1101 from LJ commented "NEWS for example, has always been all about Yamapi and Ryo... Arashi was the same at the beginning. Matsujun got all the drama parts and so he was number one for a while (though Ohno is the main vocalist) It wasn't until a few years ago that the members have been getting a more equal treatment with Nino even coming out in foreign movies as well as Sho going to the US for his movie.", Farwalah from LJ commented "Koyama, when NEWS 1st formed, he wasnt given lot of chance to sing but look at him now", and Shibaru11 from LJ commented "Kanjani8 might not have equality but hey, each member has his own talent to be fan to"

These comments mean that most groups go through the same thing in different ways.

Kisumai's situation has been happening for years now but not to this extent. It was merely done to gain profit and publicity. Goodbyethankyou on LJ commented "Back in 2006/2007, when Kisumai performed, the 3 main were Kitamitsu, Taipi and Yokoo. Understandable, because they were the oldest. Then in 2008 they realised Senga could sing and the main 3 became Kitamitsu, Taipi and Senga. Even back then the other 4 looked like back dancers already. Fast forward to 2011, Tamamori's all popular now a little because of Gokusen and mostly because of Your Beautiful"

Denkira from LJ commented "what I think we fans should do (of course it's just my point of view I don't want to force it on anyone) is stop looking at the so called "backdancers" rolle as something bad. I mean...what's wrong with it? Perphaps it's normal that singing is rated better than dancing, although I don't see why...but hey, how would you like a PV where they all just sing or where they all just dance for that matter? I think it's exactly that tempo that makes their songs so great :) So I don't see why we should look at the word backdancers as something so bad."
And I agree with her.

On Kisumai's Everybody Go PV, every was okay and normal. They were all given a some what fair amount of screen time. They wanted to show the world that they were 7 members in the group, and they did that, even if it was still a 3:4 formation. It was understandable.

But, on their We never give up PV, I think they went a little to far. The PV was great, the concept was great, the song was marvelous and the routine was spectacular, but I don't understand why they made Senga, Miyata, Yokoo and Nikaido wear similar plain costumes while Kitayama, Fujigaya and Tamamori wear ones that make the other 4 look excluded from the group.
As I was watching the PV Making, I was really happy that they were all working so hard, laughing, joking, and enjoying their new life as debut artists. I'm so proud of them for not letting this temporary situation get in the way.

To those who worry and are annoyed at Kisumai's 3:4 formation.
I'm assuming that this is just temporary, so be patient, it just takes time. Some of the members are already regulars on shows, and them officially debuting is a great thing, we should be proud of them. We all just have to do our best to support them and cheer them on, no matter what. Keep your hopes up. Remember, its not Kis-my-ft2 without ALL the 7 members, and it will all be better in the future.

Thank you all for those who gave me marvelous feedback on my We never give up review

[Music] [Single] Kis-my-ft2 - We Never Give up

Kis-my-ft2's 2nd Single "We never give up!" released in Japan on December 14th 2011. Their debut on August 2011 with their first single "Everybody Go!" made them a great success instantly, and with their 2nd single out in the market, I bet the fans went crazy.

I have been a Kis-my-ft2 (kisumai) fan since 2009. Before they debuted, they have been together for years. Their unreleased songs were great, I loved watching their performances over and over. Ever since I found them, and got into them, I've been dying for them to debut. But not just me, many other fans as well.
When they did debut on August 2011, I was very happy and proud of them. I bought all 3 Types of the available CD's Limited Edition.

As I watched the Everybody Go PV, I noticed, that Kitayama Hiromitsu, Fujigaya Taisuke, and Tamamori Yuta, are at the front of the group while the other 4 look like backup dancers. I know that the 3 are main singers of the group but at least give the other 4 something else to sing besides the chorus!. Not only in performances but also in songs. In their Everybody Go single, if you listen and watch the performances carefully, you will notice that it is only KiF&T singing the main parts while the S (Senga Kento) M (Miyata Toshiya) Y (Yokoo Wataru) & 2 (Nikaido Takashi) sings the chorus and dances behind the 3. I was shocked that they debuted as 3:4 members, not 7 members. I'm sure its not only me who disagrees with the placement and inequality of the members.

In the end i got over it and hoped that they will fully show in SMY&2 in the future.
I don't mean to bash one of my favorite groups, but it's true. (I hate myself for just saying what I said, but it can't be helped)

Lets talk about the Single and PV
The Promotional Video (PV)
I watched the PV. argh...the PV....
The concept was great, but i expected that in this single the members would have equality... nope.SMY&2 still look like backup dancers. If people who don't know them watches it, they would really think that they were backup dancers.

Again, the concept of the PV was great, I loved the snow. The routine was great, they were all in formation, and all in sequence. I know they worked hard on the routine, because as Kitayama commented "It's a surprisingly hard routine so maybe it'll be hard for the fans to copy it xD." (credit to loveandcoffee for the translation, Thank you) I liked the outfits of the KiF&T, but please give SMY&2 better ones, its just too plain, they are apart of the group as well you know! *points at costume artist*

The Single
The single is consists of 3 main songs:

  • We never give up!
  • Kis-my-Venus
  • Love is you
We never give up, being the title of the single, is a great song, a very catchy one too. I love the melody, I love the lyrics. It gives everyone motivation and inspiration never to give up.Which is their main goal. After listening to it, I can't stop singing and dancing to it.

Kis-my-Venus, I'm guessing it represents Japan. The spelling of J.A.P.AN in the intro and the lyrics "We are here for you Japan." and "Love, Dream, Courage, Future" It tells the people of Japan to keep moving forward. I like it. Its a great song. The lyrics means a lot in many ways  (even if I don't really understand half of it). Its a great addition to the We never give up! Single

Love is you, a love song. <3 Its a mellow/a bit up beat song. Good for the audience to dance to during concerts. It's a good song, not as good as We never give up!. Not to be offensive, but it sounds like a typical JE song. *runs away*

The single in conclusion I would give it a 4/5 stars. Its missing one star because of the 3:4 formation again. -.- (I blame it all on the manager. he should google the word "TEAM WORK")

I am looking forward to their future releases.

Also posted on Livejournal. See other comments here

[Music] Jin Akanishi's Seasons PV

Jin Akanishi, to release his 2nd Single in Japan; entitled Seasons, on December 28th 2011; which is very very soon.
Jin recently topped the Oricon Weekly Charts with his American Debut single, Test Drive featuring Jason Derulo,
The PV of the song Seasons, was released, and what do you think of it? here is a link Seasons PV

What I think of it?
I watched the PV preview that was released, and I was already excited for the single. But when I watched the full PV, I found the cute to go with my excitement. As Jin commented"Its not only a love song between couples, but a song to express your love towards families and friends, and all types of love." And I agree with him. Its a very good song
The little girl is suppose to be Jin's daughter I think. He makes a good father. I kind of fell for him for that whole PV...but..
Is it me, or does his Japanese accent sound a bit unnatural to you? It took me time to realize he was singing in Japanese. He has been spending too much time speaking English, its changing his Japanese accent.
The setting of the PV was great, the editing was great, the song was great. Over all i think it was a marvelous PV and I am super excited for the release of the single.

Blog for all, that's why Interested in ALL

Alright.
I have decided......*imitates Tree bread from LOTR2*
Yes, I have decided to turn my blog; not that it kind of already is, into a Blog when I post all types for things. They will be categorizes into:

  • Drama/Series (New release of Japanese, Korean, Taiwanese drama, and TV Series, my certain views on the series, etc)
  • Books (New release of books, Books I would like to read, Challenges, my reviews)
  • Fashion (I think I'm just going to be posting the Outfit of the day, and the clothes I buy)
  • Food (Dishes that I make, Reviews on dishes that i taste, new dishes, Food shows, recipes)
  • Music (mostly Japanese pop and sometimes rock, reviews, updates)
As you notice, I have already been posting up my Outfits of the day. They aren't as good, but, I'm still working on it. Winter ain't my season to dress up.

Note the name of the blog; "Interested in ALL". I just realized what that really meant and what I can really do with that name. Awesome.

I'm thinking of posting videos as well...hmm.. still thinking.
Also thinking of doing a separate food blog, but I guess this will do
This will still remain as my personal blog. I think...we'll see. xD

That's it. I'll be looking forward to the recent changes on my blog
Love all everyone.
xoxo

I❤NY

This is currently my favorite necklace.
Obviously from forever21.

It happens to some how go with most of my outfits.

I do love New York, and hope to actually go there. Perhaps live there as well, for like 6 months or a year. XD

Johnny Rockets

We had dinner at Johnny Rockets.

If I were to review it, I would give it a 2/5

Even if I only had a salad. Caesar Salad; to be exact, the dressing was nasty. The chicken was fine. The dressing was just nasty. No way am I ordering that again. And they didn't have fries with the burger. ~.~
I felt like the staff were being lazy...
